My Fellow Brothers and Sisters,
“Your Voice, Your Union”
My name is Donald Cooper. I am a 31-year Teamster, a 26-year Steward, and a 11 (eleven)-year Chief Steward with Cassens Transport Company. Our team has created a solid foundation of confident leaders from years of dedication, education, and the practice of elected agreements. Our open-door policy is one of trust, communication, and opportunity to work together to find solutions to interpersonal union conflicts, grievances, and contracted resolutions. It is our sole purpose to uphold the contract, protect our members, and honor our Teamster heritage.
My Slate’s universal vision, is to connect with the members starting at a grass-roots local level, creating a footprint that will expand and unify other Locals throughout the state. The Slate, as a team, is committed to a “boots on the ground” philosophy, with committed, visible representatives, which work for you, with the impassioned hope to reignite “Your Union” pride.
Mission statement
As your President, along with our team, I will lead, listen, and create an environment that will foster support for you, and your stewards through:
The time is now that you, our dear members, take back “Your Union” and make “Your Voice” heard.

Running for President Teamsters Local 20

Adam Brady – Candidate for Secretary-Treasurer, Teamsters Local 20
Brothers and Sisters,
My name is Adam Brady, and I’m proud to announce my candidacy for Secretary-Treasurer of Teamsters Local 20, running alongside Donald Cooper on the Your Voice, Your Union slate. I’m stepping forward to bring honest, transparent, and accountable leadership back to our Local—leadership that puts members first, fights for strong contracts, and protects the benefits we’ve worked so hard to earn.
I’ve been a proud union member for eight years. I’ve spent seven years as a package car driver and the past year as a feeder driver at UPS. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside many of you, and I understand the real challenges we face every day on the job. I’ve also served two terms as Unit Secretary at the Fremont center, where I fought to make sure our members’ voices were heard.
Before my time at UPS, I ran a business. That experience taught me the importance of financial responsibility and transparency. I managed budgets, bookkeeping, and profit and loss statements—skills I will bring to the role of Secretary-Treasurer to ensure your dues are managed with integrity and accountability.
As Secretary-Treasurer, I will:
This isn’t about politics. It’s about leadership that delivers. Together, we can restore trust, defend our rights, and build a stronger, more united Local 20.
I respectfully ask for your support—and your vote.
In Solidarity,
Adam Brady

Teamsters Local 20

Prentice Brown, candidate for Vice President
I’ve proudly been a Teamster for over 30 years at UPS, where I’ve worn many hats: loader, unloader, air driver, FDC auditor, and now a P.M. pickup driver in Toledo North. Through it all, I’ve never forgotten where I came from or who I represent — the hardworking men and women who keep this union strong.
For 18 years I’ve served as a union steward, and I continue to serve today, standing up for my brothers and sisters whenever they need someone in their corner. I’ve also been an active member of the Teamsters National Black Caucus (TNBC) for the past eight years, serving six years as a trustee and the last two as Secretary-Treasurer.
Outside of work, I’ve been married to my wife for 33 years, and together we’ve raised four children and have been blessed with six grandchildren. For the past 25 years, I’ve also served as a deacon in my church — a role that has strengthened my belief in service, integrity, and accountability.
I’m running for Vice President because I believe our members deserve leadership that leads from the front: leadership that listens, communicates, and fights for fairness at every level. With decades of experience and a lifetime of dedication to my faith, my family, and my fellow Teamsters, I’m ready to help build a stronger, more united Local 20.
In Solidarity,
Prentice Brown

Teamster Brothers and Sisters,
My name is Rick Brown, and I am honored to announce my candidacy for Recording Secretary of Teamsters Local 20. I am proud to be running alongside Don Cooper and the entire Your Voice, Your Union Slate.
I grew up in this union, and the values I hold today come directly from it. The ten characteristics represented by the spokes of the Teamster wheel—loyalty, integrity, compassion, reliability, honor, steadfastness, trustworthiness, principle, fairness, and honesty—are not just words to me; they are the foundation of how I have lived and served. I believe our slate has the vision and determination to restore Local 20 to these principles and rebuild the strong, united hall our members deserve.
For the past 23 years, I have proudly worked in public service with the City of Toledo’s Division of Water Reclamation. Of those, 19 years have been spent serving as a steward and Chief Steward, representing members across 10 different classifications, from entry-level positions to skilled trades and professionals. Public sector stewardship is a challenging role that requires navigating government rules, labor law, and political pressure—but I’ve never backed down. With persistence and strategy, I’ve fought and won resolutions for our members.
Beyond union representation, I bring management experience that has taught me how to build effective teams and maximize performance. I have always believed that true leadership starts with listening. By giving workers a real voice in the process, I created buy-in, trust, and teamwork. That same energy and approach is exactly what we will bring to Local 20. “Your Voice, Your Union” is more than a slogan—it is a promise that every member will be heard and respected.
As Recording Secretary, I will dedicate myself fully to the needs of all members of Local 20. Together, we can restore accountability, transparency, and pride in our great union.
In Solidarity,
Rick Brown

Brother and Sisters,
My name is Adam Gill and I have been a proud Teamster at UPS for 25 years. Over that time I’ve done nearly every job the company has to offer — from loading and unloading trailers, to driving package car, and now working in feeders. That experience has given me a real understanding of the challenges our members face, and I’ve never forgotten what it’s like to do those jobs.
For about half of my career I’ve also served as a union steward, standing up for coworkers, filing grievances, and making sure members’ voices were heard. I know that representation isn’t just about knowing the contract — it’s about being present, listening, and taking action when something isn’t right.
I’ve been married for 17 years and have three children. Like many of you, I understand the sacrifices families make when we put in the long hours. I believe our union should fight to protect not only our jobs, but also our families and our future.
I am proud to be running for Trustee alongside Don Cooper and the Your Voice, Your Union slate. Together, we are committed to restoring transparency, accountability, and strength to Local 20.
In solidarity,
Adam Gill

Hello Teamster Brothers and Sisters,
My name is Twanda D. Williams, and I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. I became a proud Teamster in November 2000 when I started working at Country Fresh Ice Cream Plant. Over the years, I’ve done it all—production worker, lead packer, operator, back-up mix, and supply. Every job taught me what real hard work looks like, and every job strengthened my belief in the power of union solidarity.
In 2015, I stepped up as Chief Steward, and for the last decade I’ve fought side by side with my coworkers. I don’t shy away from tough battles, and I don’t back down when members need a strong voice. At the same time, I’ve always led with a big heart—listening, supporting, and standing up for people who deserve to be heard and respected. That balance of compassion and strength is what makes our union family strong.
As Trustee, I will keep fighting for our members, restoring trust in leadership, and making sure Local 20 is a union where every member feels represented. We have too much at stake to accept anything less than honesty, accountability, and real solidarity.
I am proud to be running alongside Don Cooper and the entire Your Voice, Your Union Slate.
In Solidarity,
Twanda D. Williams

Laurel Holmes, candidate for Trustee
Brothers and sisters, I’ve been a proud Teamster for 21 years at Johns Manville, where I’ve worked in several departments throughout my career — the Finishing Department as a Reinforcement Attendant, Direct Melt as a High Performance Operator, the Quality Department as an Auditor, and currently as the Quality Shift Leader for the past three years, where I’m responsible for releasing product for shipment to our customers.
Before joining the Teamsters, I served as Secretary for the AFSCME union, where I gained valuable experience in contract negotiations, grievance hearings, and advocating for workers’ rights. I continue to fight for fairness today, standing up against unfair labor practices and unfair wages.
I currently serve as the Recording Secretary for the Teamsters National Black Caucus (TNBC) for Local 20, where I’ve proudly worked for the past two years to give back to our community and provide resources to union brothers and sisters facing wrongful terminations or suspensions.
I’m the proud mother of one daughter, Lauren, and in my free time I love to shop, craft, and travel.
I’m running for Trustee because I believe in standing up for what’s right, being visible for our members, and holding leadership accountable. I’m proud to be running as part of the Your Voice, Your Union slate — a team committed to fairness, transparency, and real representation for every member.
In Solidarity,
Laurel Holmes
